COVID-19 PATIENTS DISPLAY SEVERE ALTERATIONS IN ADAPTIVE IMMUNE RESPONSE
A groundbreaking publication from August 2020 in Cell suggests that in COVID-19 patients the differentiation of Tfh cells and formation of germinal centers within lymph nodes and spleen is inhibited. Molecules such as Bcl-6 were assessed using the TissueFAXS platform including the analysis applications StrataQuest and TissueQuest.

EFFECTS OF UV LIGHT ON SKIN
Research groups from Austria, Italy and USA published a comprehensive study in Redox Biology addressing the distribution pattern of the enzyme G6PD, the first line defender against oxidizing agents, after exposure of skin to UV light. The expression of G6PD was automatically quantified using TG’s digital image analysis software StrataQuest, which offers predefined APPs.
